About OpenPharmacyKorea
What this site does
OpenPharmacyKorea helps visitors to Korea find a pharmacy that is open right now. It shows pharmacies on a map, marks which are open at this moment based on their registered hours, and provides the Korean name and address so you can show it to a local or a taxi driver.
Who runs it
OpenPharmacyKorea is an independent, individually operated service. It is not affiliated with any pharmacy, government body or healthcare provider. It is a sister project of OnCareMap, a Korean-language service for finding hospitals and emergency rooms.
The site is free to use and is supported by advertising. Advertising never appears on the map screen.
Where the data comes from
Pharmacy locations, phone numbers and opening hours come from Korea's public data portal (data.go.kr), published by the National Emergency Medical Center under the Ministry of Health and Welfare. The registry is refreshed weekly. English names and addresses are derived from official romanization rules and the Ministry of the Interior's English address service; where a reliable English form is not available we show only the Korean.
What it cannot tell you
- Whether a pharmacy is open at this very minute. We show registered hours; temporary closures, lunch breaks and holiday changes may not be reflected.
- Whether a specific medicine is in stock or available without a prescription.
- Medical advice of any kind. A pharmacist or doctor can help with that; this site only helps you find one.
- Anything about hospitals or emergency rooms. In an emergency, call 119.
