Summary
OpenPharmacyKorea does not require an account and does not store your location. Your device's position is used only in your browser to center the map and sort results; it is never sent to our servers in raw form.
Location
When you allow location access, your browser gives the site your coordinates. The site rounds them to a grid of roughly 500 meters before requesting nearby pharmacies, so the request cannot identify your exact position.
Rounded coordinates appear in request URLs and may be kept in server access logs for a short period for security and performance monitoring.
You can decline location access. The site then asks you to choose an area instead.
Cookies and local storage
The site itself sets no tracking cookies. Your browser's local storage may hold small preferences such as the last area you viewed. Third-party services listed below may set their own cookies.
Third-party services
The following services process data when you use the site:
- Google Maps Platform renders the map. Google receives your IP address and the map area you view, under Google's privacy policy.
- Google AdSense serves advertising on list, detail and guide pages (never on the map). Depending on your region and consent choices, Google may use cookies to personalize ads.

Visitors from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland
If you visit from a region where consent is required for advertising cookies, a consent dialog is shown before any advertising cookie is set. You can change your choice at any time from the link in the footer.
Data retention
Server access logs, including rounded coordinates and IP addresses, are retained for no longer than 30 days.
